Live rooms and monitoring

Musicians can choose between working in one good-sized live room or up to 5 fully separated spaces. Our Steinweg (German Steinway) upright piano has a fantastic rich tone, and has recently benefited from a full action overhaul by Thornhill pianos. We also have a Premier Olympic kit, with a full set of old Zildjan ‘A’ cymbals (ride, crash/ride, hi-hats).

A sophisticated headphone system gives individual musicians their own mixers to set up their monitor mix (6 channels to each of 5 locations) for minimum stress on the session. This frees the engineer to concentrate on the recording and helps to keep the musicians happy as well!
